Teaching
"Education beyond content mastery is an important cornerstone in the collegiate student’s future success. I believe students of the 21st century need to know more than just how to regurgitate an answer for a test by the end of their time in college. Through proper instruction, students should learn how to think creatively and critically, how to implement structure in their lives inside and outside of the classroom, and additionally how to take responsibility for their own success with the guidance of their instructor. As a student instructor at the University of Alabama, I feel that I have been able make a lasting impact on my students in that I offer a uniquely collaborative classroom experience. I treat every student as a young professional and set them up for success beyond the classroom no matter the topic of instruction. This is accomplished through the development of a student-centered classroom that is rich with discussion, while also holding students to high standards regarding assignment completion and punctuality." - Toni
